Float Five
1. Introduction
Welcome to Float Five ("the Game"), a mobile word puzzle game developed and operated by MountainPeak ("we", "us", or "our"), a company based in Belgium. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data when you play Float Five on iOS or Android.
By downloading or playing Float Five, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Game.
2. Data Controller
MountainPeak is the data controller responsible for your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and applicable Belgian privacy law.

3. Data We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
Account Information (if you register):
- Username and display name
- Email address
- Password (stored in hashed form)
Gameplay Data:
- Game progress, scores, and achievements
- In-app purchase history
- Game session duration and frequency
Device & Technical Data:
- Device type, operating system, and version
- Device advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID)
- IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
- Crash logs and performance diagnostics
Advertising Data:
- Ad interactions (impressions, clicks) via our ad partners (e.g. Google AdMob)
- Advertising identifiers used for targeted advertising
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
Float Five is directed to a general audience but may be used by children. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR provisions applicable to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in Belgium) without verifiable parental consent.
Behavioural advertising is disabled for users identified or reasonably suspected to be under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal data without consent, please contact us at privacy@mountainpeak.be and we will delete the data promptly.
In child-directed experiences, only contextual (non-personalised) ads are served.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: to provide the Game and process in-app purchases.
- Legitimate interests: to improve the Game, prevent fraud, and ensure security.
- Consent: for personalised advertising and optional features (you may withdraw consent at any time in Settings).
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws (e.g. tax, consumer protection).

- To operate, maintain, and improve Float Five
- To process in-app purchases and manage your account
- To display advertisements (contextual and, with consent, personalised)
- To analyse gameplay and fix bugs
- To send service-related communications (e.g. account verification)
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
7. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Google AdMob - advertising network (subject to Google's privacy policy)
- Apple App Store / Google Play - purchase verification
- Analytics providers (e.g. Firebase Analytics) - for aggregated usage statistics
- Cloud hosting providers - for secure data storage
- Law enforcement or regulators - where required by law
All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements and are required to handle your data in accordance with GDPR.
8. Advertising
Float Five contains advertisements served by Google AdMob and potentially other advertising networks. These networks may use cookies and device identifiers to serve personalised ads based on your interests.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:
- iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking - disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
- Android: Settings > Google > Ads - enable "Opt out of Ads Personalisation"
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Game and comply with legal obligations:
- Account data: retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
- Gameplay data: retained for up to 3 years for analytics purposes
- Advertising identifiers: retained for up to 13 months
- Financial/purchase records: retained for 7 years as required by Belgian tax law
10. Your Rights Under GDPR
As a data subject in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: request a copy of your personal data
- Right to rectification: correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): request deletion of your data
- Right to restriction: limit how we process your data
- Right to data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent: for consent-based processing, withdraw at any time

11. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States (e.g. by Google services). Such transfers are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or other adequate transfer mechanisms under GDPR.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-game notification or email. The updated policy will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance.
